BookLane is an online reading and writing community built for people who love stories. Whether you come here to read a chapter on your commute, follow your favourite author, or share a story you have been writing for years, BookLane is designed to make that experience comfortable, simple, and personal.
What you can do on BookLane
Readers can browse stories by genre, follow ongoing series, bookmark chapters to finish later, and track reading progress over time. Writers can publish chapters on their own schedule, format their work with a familiar editor, and connect with an audience that genuinely enjoys long-form fiction.
Our library spans romance, fantasy, science fiction, slice-of-life, mystery, historical fiction, and many other genres. Every story is created by the writers who use the platform.
Our mission
We believe storytelling deserves a thoughtful home: one that treats both readers and writers with respect, keeps the interface out of the way of the words, and puts community before algorithms. BookLane is built around that idea.
Content standards
BookLane hosts user-submitted creative writing. We review reports and remove content that violates our Terms of Service, including plagiarism, harassment, hate speech, and content that sexualises minors. Writers retain ownership of their original work; we ask only for the right to host and display it on the platform.
